On March 28, the 11th All-Ukrainian competition “Variety and Terroir. Micro-Winemaking” took place at APSVT, organized by the Sommelier School “Master Class”.
This year, the event featured 143 samples of wines and beverages from 42 producers representing 17 regions of Ukraine, once again confirming the dynamic development of micro-winemaking culture in the country.

The jury included winners of national sommelier and cavist competitions, leading winemaking technologists, representatives of major retail chains, and media professionals. Such a diverse panel ensured a comprehensive and highly professional evaluation process.
The permanent Chairman of the jury was Ricardo F. Nunez, owner of the international wine holding Vinos de La Luz.
Among the distinguished participants was also Nataliia Burlachenko - owner of Big Wines and 46 Parallel Wine Group, as well as Head of the Ukrainian Vine and Wine Association. During the event, Ms. Burlachenko shared key areas of the Association’s activities, including initiatives aimed at industry development, support for producers, and the promotion of Ukrainian wine on the international stage.
For the first time in the competition’s history, the evaluation was conducted by two separate panels - industry professionals and winemakers, allowing for a comparison of approaches and assessment results from different professional perspectives.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all jury members for their fruitful cooperation and high level of expertise.
The results of the competition will be announced very soon. Stay tuned for updates!
