On April 14, 2026, a key industry event took place in Kyiv: “Viticulture and Winemaking Industry - Changes That Promise Improvement? Dialogue between Business and Government.” The event was supported by Big Wines and 46 Parallel Wine Group, who acted as partners, contributing to the initiative aimed at consolidating the market and fostering open dialogue between business and government.
The event was organized by the Ukrainian Vine and Wine Association in cooperation with the Association of Craft Winemakers of Ukraine.

The event brought together representatives of businesses, government authorities, профиль ministries, committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the expert community. The focus was on the practical implementation of legislative changes, improvement of regulatory policy, and the development of an effective model of cooperation between the state and the private sector.
Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi emphasized the importance of market consolidation to develop coordinated proposals for the government and highlighted the significance of the new draft law “On Grapes, Wine and Viticulture Products.”
Key topics discussed included:
Nataliia Burlachenko, Head of the UVWA, emphasized the importance of uniting market participants for the joint development of the industry and support of Ukrainian producers.
Yuliia Prokhoda, Ukrainian patent attorney and lawyer, highlighted new opportunities created by the legislation, including alignment with European standards, the development of geographical indications, and simplification of regulatory procedures.

Deputy Minister Denys Bashlyk also announced the creation of a unified viticulture and winemaking register, scheduled to launch on January 1, 2027.

Special attention was drawn to the speech by Akhtem Seitablaiev, who shared his vision of how culture and the film industry can contribute to promoting Ukrainian wine both domestically and internationally.

The event concluded with a comparative tasting of Ukrainian terroir wines. Participants had the opportunity to evaluate the same grape varieties grown in different regions, clearly demonstrating the influence of terroir on the style and character of wine.
The tasting was complemented by gastronomic pairings - artisanal bread and cheeses from local producers - highlighting the richness of flavors and the authenticity of Ukrainian products.

Big Wines and 46 Parallel will continue to support initiatives aimed at developing Ukrainian winemaking and strengthening its position on the global stage.
