On December 18, the final NV event "Ukraine and the World Ahead 2026" took place at the Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv - a landmark gathering that brought together leaders from the public sector, finance, international business, and the expert community for an open discussion about Ukraine’s future in a global context.
The evening opened with an atmospheric performance by the band Mova, setting the emotional tone of the event. Guests were then welcomed by Vitaliy Sych, Editor-in-Chief of NV Media House, who outlined the key challenges and opportunities that will shape Ukraine’s position in the world in the coming years.

One of the central moments of the program was the interview "The World in 2026: What Place Does Ukraine Occupy?" with Serhii Plokhy, Professor of Ukrainian History at Harvard University. Together with moderator Olha Dukhnich, NV journalist and Head of the "Demography and Migration" track at the Frontier Institute, the discussion explored historical parallels, global transformations, and Ukraine’s role in the new world order.
The financial segment opened with the discussion "Ukraine’s Financial Future" featuring Andriy Pyshnyi, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, moderated by investment banker Serhii Fursa. This was followed by a conversation on key economic trends with Oleksandr Povshednyi, Chairman of the Management Board of ProCredit Bank.

The panel "Ukraine’s Financial Resilience in 2026" brought together leading representatives of the banking and financial sectors:
Serhii Naumov (Oschadbank), Maksym Tsymbal (Bank Pivdennyi), Oleksandr Povshednyi (ProCredit Bank), Dmytro Ryvkin (Done, SCF), and Tetiana Chorna (Visa Ukraine). The discussion focused on the stability of the financial system, adaptation to wartime challenges, and future development prospects.

The conversation then shifted to investments as a key driver of economic growth. The panel was moderated by Hlib Vyshlinskyi, Executive Director of the Centre for Economic Strategy, with insights shared by Alessandro Zanelli (CEO of Nestlé in Ukraine and South-Eastern Europe), Mikael Björknert (CEO of PrivatBank), and Oleksandr Vodoviz (Metinvest Group).

The final highlight of the evening was the panel "The Future of Ukraine" - an open dialogue on challenges, achievements, and the evolving perception of Ukraine within the European Union. Participants included Tomas Fiala (Dragon Capital), Davyd Arakhamia, Ihor Obolenskyi, and Olha Dukhnich, with Vitaliy Sych moderating the discussion.
Big Wines and 46 Parallel were proud to support this event, sharing the values of responsible business and a sincere belief that Ukraine can and will be independent, free, and economically strong.
