ROUND TABLE «GRANT OFFICE: PRACTICES, EXPERIENCE, PROSPECTS» - NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

On November 6, Big Wines and 46 Parallel CEO Nataliia Burlachenko had the honor of taking part in the Round Table «Grant Office: Practices, Experience, Prospects - the Future of Community Development», held in the Budzhak Settlement Community of Odesa Region.

This event became a powerful platform for sharing experience, ideas, and inspiration among representatives of local self-government, international programs, academic institutions, NGOs, and businesses from Ukraine and Moldova.

The main focus was on grant opportunities, the development of project offices, and attracting international support for the advancement of communities and the wine industry in Southern Ukraine.

Among the key speakers were:

🔸 Ivan Kiusse and Oleksandr Yordanov - on best practices in grant activities in Ukrainian and Moldovan communities;
🔸 Olena Ivanova - on cooperation with international partners and regional development agencies;
🔸 Vlad Kochu and Oksana Zvarych - on building efficient project offices within communities;
🔸 Hanna Sarkisian, Doctor of Economics, Professor at ONTU - on the experience of the university’s Grant Office and the essential role of academic support in regional initiatives.

A special and symbolic moment was the recognition of Oleksandr Andriiovych Palariiev, who received an award from the Budzhak Settlement Council for his significant contribution to community development, as well as being granted the honorary title «Honorary Citizen of Borodino Community».

A key outcome of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Budzhak Settlement Council, the Bessarabian Technology Hub, and the «Ukrainian Viticulture and Winemaking Association», chaired by Nataliia Burlachenko.

This strategic partnership marks an important step toward jointly implementing grant programs aimed at developing the wine industry, gastro-tourism, regional economic growth, and cross-border cooperation.
