From June 16 to 20, the city of Chișinău (Moldova) hosted the 46th World Congress of Vine and Wine under the auspices of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV).


As part of the official program, a presentation and tasting of Ukrainian white wines made from indigenous grape varieties was held, conducted by Nataliia Burlachenko, CEO of Big Wines. The wines featured were carefully selected during the National Tasting of Autochthonous Samples, which took place on June 6 in Ukraine.
Among the varieties presented were:

🍇 Telti-Kuruk
🍇 Zahrei
🍇 Citronnyi of Magarach
...and other unique grapes with strong potential to become the signature of Ukrainian white winemaking.

The aim of the presentation
To demonstrate the potential of Ukrainian indigenous white grape varieties on the international stage, and to highlight the diversity and richness of Ukraine’s wine-growing terroir.
The event resonated strongly with the audience - more than 76 guests took part in the tasting, showing not only interest in the wines but also genuine support for Ukraine.
The Ukrainian delegation - comprising over 20 participants - worked in unified, professional collaboration, ensuring a flawless and impactful presentation of the Ukrainian wine industry.
