On April 21, 2026, a presentation of the national knowledge and innovation platform AKIS (Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System) took place in Kyiv. The initiative was introduced by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
Nataliia Burlachenko, winemaker and owner of Big Wines and 46 Parallel Wine Group, took part in the event, contributing to the professional discussion as a representative of the wine industry.

The AKIS platform is designed as a unified space for agricultural knowledge, practical expertise, and innovation. It aims to facilitate the exchange of information between farmers, advisors, researchers, and producers, while providing access to practical materials across various areas of the agricultural sector.
The key goal of the project is to unite the efforts of government, business, and science, creating a modern tool to support the development of Ukraine’s agricultural industry and its integration into the European framework.
According to Deputy Minister Denys Bashlyk, the platform will focus on collecting practical knowledge, and its success will depend on active participation from the agricultural community:
“The main goal is to make practical knowledge accessible and free of charge, while integrating the best EU practices.”

The project is supported by the European Union within the EU4SmallFarms initiative, which aims to align Ukrainian legislation, policies, and institutions with EU standards in agriculture and rural development.
The presentation also featured international experts and EU representatives, including Giuseppe Aristei and Mark Redmond, who shared European experience in implementing similar systems.
Big Wines continues to support initiatives that foster agricultural education, innovation, and the integration of Ukrainian viticulture and winemaking into the European community.
