BIG WINES Supported the Opening of Ivan Marchuk’s Permanent Exhibition at the Chocolate House Art Center

Kyiv hosted the opening of the permanent exhibition “Ivan Marchuk. Museum Collections” - a large-scale cultural project dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the outstanding Ukrainian artist Ivan Marchuk.

This exhibition became the first project presented by the renewed Chocolate House Art Center after its forced closure in 2022. Symbolically, the return of this historic space to Ukraine’s cultural life began with the works of the Maestro, whose art has long become part of the global artistic landscape.

BIG WINES and 46 Parallel Wine Group joined the project as partners in the creation of the immersive installation - visitors can literally immerse themselves in the world of Ivan Marchuk, feeling the rhythm, depth, and emotional power of his works.

The opening ceremony was attended by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska. During the event, Ivan Marchuk was awarded the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 5th Class, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture.

The exhibition brings together works from eleven museum collections across Ukraine and presents different periods of the artist’s creative journey - from his early works of the 1960s to contemporary paintings. Special attention is given to the famous “Shevchenkiana” series, which became one of the defining chapters of the artist’s legacy.

For BIG WINES, supporting projects like this is a natural continuation of our philosophy of combining Ukrainian wine, art, and cultural identity. For many years, Ivan Marchuk’s art has inspired the BIG WINES BIG ART collection, where art becomes a language through which the world discovers Ukraine, its character, and its depth.

Today, Ivan Marchuk’s name is one of the symbols of contemporary Ukrainian culture worldwide. We are sincerely proud to be part of initiatives that preserve, support, and promote Ukrainian art.
