An Unforgettable Weekend at the Kyiv Food and Wine Festival

On October 18–19, the Big Wines team, together with 46 Parallel, spent a wonderful weekend at VDNG during the Kyiv Food and Wine Festival.

It was two days filled with new connections, warm smiles, and, of course, amazing wines. Our stands were visited by true wine lovers, who enjoyed tasting a variety of Ukrainian wines and cheeses. The atmosphere was festive, friendly, and truly inspiring!

As part of the festival’s Wine and Cheese School, a discussion panel titled “The Unique Unknown Wine” was held, organized by Yulia Prokhoda.
The panel featured lawyers and experts - Andriy Sukhovii, Mykola Pototskyi (UKRNOIVI), and Serhii Hlotov (EU expert) - who discussed key issues related to patents, labeling, and geographical indications.

A highlight of the event was the presentation by Natalia Burlachenko, dedicated to the importance of Geographical Indications (GI) and the development of their hierarchy, using Spain as an example.
