Visit of Journalists to the Big Wines Vineyards in Budjak

In September this year, during the harvest season at the Big Wines vineyards near the village of Lambrivka, in the picturesque Budjak region, we had the pleasure of welcoming a team of journalists from “South Today”.

Our CEO of Big Wines and 46 Parallel, Nataliia Burlachenko, guided the guests through the vineyards, sharing insights about the region’s unique climate, terroir characteristics, and local winemaking traditions. The combination of favorable weather conditions, distinctive soils, and time-honored cultivation practices creates ideal conditions for growing indigenous grape varieties such as Telti-Kuruk and Odesa Black. These varieties give Southern Ukrainian wines their remarkable depth of flavor and aromatic richness.

The journalists had the opportunity to observe the entire process - from vine care to grape harvesting - and to learn about the company’s modern winemaking approach, which harmoniously combines respect for tradition with innovative production techniques.

It was truly a pleasure to share the story of our winery, to talk about the revival of cultural heritage, and to highlight the growing international recognition of Ukrainian wine.

Special thanks to team for the professional photo and video materials that beautifully capture the charm of our southern vineyards and the passion behind our work.

Big Wines remains dedicated to ensuring that Ukrainian wines receive the recognition they deserve both in Ukraine and abroad, and that the terroir of the southern regions becomes known to every true wine lover.
